Compass One

What is it?

SALARA's fictional reference organization for public education and evaluation.

Compass One contains a fixed, internally governed source set. Its people, policies, and scenarios are fictional, but the resolution behavior is real and deterministic.

The wellness scenario uses the People manager role and a documented medical basis because those facts determine which policy boundary and routing order apply.

Organizational Reality

Training on organizational decisions is risky when it uses a real employee, real policy dispute, or real compliance boundary. Teams want realistic practice, but they do not want a learning exercise to affect production work.

So the organization needs a safe place to study familiar patterns: policies with exceptions, managers with limited authority, and answers that must show their basis.

Why it happens

This commonly happens because organizations need realistic examples before people can trust a new discipline. Fictional but governed scenarios let learners study authority, evidence, and limits without involving a real employee decision.
