Preserved gaps

What is it?

Missing organizational intelligence remains part of the result instead of being silently filled.

The medical basis points to a higher-precedence accommodation process, but the complete accommodation-process document is outside the current Compass One source catalog.

SALARA preserves that gap so the result can direct a responsible next action without predicting an approval or denial.

Organizational Reality

A policy points to another process, but the organization cannot find the process document quickly.

Someone may fill the gap from memory. Someone else may ignore the missing process. Both responses hide the fact that the organization is missing governing understanding.

Why it happens

This commonly happens because missing knowledge is uncomfortable. People often fill gaps to keep work moving, but that erases the signal that the organization needs better governing material.

What to remember

A preserved gap is not a system failure. It is a governed statement of what the available Organizational Intelligence cannot establish.
