Compilation and publication

What is it?

The step that makes governed Assertions available for runtime use.

Compilation prepares approved Assertions so the runtime can evaluate them consistently.

Publication makes the compiled set available as active Organizational Intelligence. This sprint does not add publication controls for Your Organization.

Organizational Reality

A governance team finishes approving a set of policy interpretations. Everyone expects the organization to start using the new understanding.

But prepared guidance and active guidance are not the same thing. Until people know what is live, old habits continue to compete with current understanding.

Why it happens

This commonly happens because preparation and activation are easy to blur. An organization can finish governance work and still fail to make the active state obvious.
